Contax 135mm 2.8  Lens Specifications

Even with the aperture completely open, the Sonnar T* 2.8/135 lens is extremely sharp and displays excellent imaging performance and field illumination. With its focal length and 28 mm wide angle, it is one of the most frequently used interchangeable lenses. It is also the a very popular telephoto lens for travel photography. Due to its slightly compressed perspective, it is a popular choice for travel photography, sections and details for architectural photographs and portraits.
This easy-to-handle telephoto lens for Contax® SLR-cameras successfully combines the telephoto angle with fast shutter speeds. Its relatively narrow depth of focus with the aperture fully open lifts the main subject very noticeably from the fore or background of the picture. Excellent imaging performance and good illumination of the field are guaranteed. Floating elements also improve definition in close-ups and the light fall-off towards the edges is very slight. As a result of its compressed perspective, this lens is most suited for photojournalism, sections and details of architectural pictures and portraits.

*Please note that Contax is Kaput! Kyrocera pulled the plug on the Contax camera system in 2005. So buyer beware. You'll only have used parts to service the camera with, and good luck finding a certified Contax camera technician
